Homes for sale in Windsor Forest

Windsor Forest is a spacious, wooded community in northern Williamsburg. The neighborhood has a variety of detached homes, ranging in size from 2,000 to 5,000 square feet. The shaded lots are cool even in the peak of summer. The generous size allows residents to pursue many outdoor hobbies, from nurturing lawn and garden to simply enjoying evenings on the patio. Windsor Forest's natural design feels private and secluded, even though the community is less than 10 minutes drive from shopping and dining.

History: The neighborhood was developed by Williamsburg's legendary real estate guru, Robert S. Hornsby Sr.  A fixture in Williamsburg society from the early 1950s, Hornsby was active not only in real estate development but also in the community. He served on the board of the Alumni Association of The College of William and Mary, as a trustee on the board of Williamsburg Community Hospital and as president of the Golden Horseshoe Club. Hornsby designed Windsor Forest to work in unison with its natural surroundings, creating an organic, thriving atmosphere.

Awards and Recognition: Part of James City County's Neighborhood Connections program, Windsor Forest works with the county to promote a partnership for higher quality community life through neighborhood activities.
