Schools: Residents attend Williamsburg-James City County schools including D.J. Montague Elementary, James Blair Middle and Lafayette High. Local institutions of higher education nearby are Thomas Nelson Community College and The College of William and Mary.

Commuting: Convenient to Route 199 and I-64, commuting to either Richmond or Langley Air Force Base takes less than a hour from New Town. Fort Eustis is even closer, approximately 35 minutes. Shopping and dining are all within walking distance of any residence in New Town.
